Teen Challenge of Western New York (TCWNY) is located in Downtown Buffalo at 124 Locust Street, Buffalo NY 14204. We are 2 blocks south of Buffalo General Hospital and 2 blocks East of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the Historic "Fruit-Belt" District.Buffalo is located in extreme Western New York State next to Lake Erie and only 14 miles from Niagara Falls! It is the 2nd largest city in the State next to NYC. The population of the city is approximately 250,000 with over 2.1 million in the surrounding suburbs. The region has an active professional sports scene and is home to the NFL's Buffalo Bills and the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. The center is centrally located and very easy to access. We are conveniently located approximately 5 blocks from the Greyhound Bus Terminal (Downtown) and Amtrak Train Station on Exchange Street. Buffalo Teen Challenge Center was founded in 1978 with a vision to help hurting men who struggle with drug or alcohol addiction or other life controlling problems. TCWNY provides residential care in a positive environment with a caring staff that will help students in their beginning steps of a life free of addition
TCWNY provides a complete lifestyle change by separating the student from his former lifestyle of drugs, alcohol, street habits, influences and conflicts. Each day our students follow a routine and structured schedule that will provide specific times for wake-up, meals, classes, work assignments, recreation, and group or individual counseling. The program is designed to create positive behavioral changes, resulting in a healthy lifestyle free from substance abuse.
